After the cancellation of CBSE class 10 examination, the exercise to promote about 40 thousand students in the district has started in the next class.
Recently CBSE asked for suggestions from all schools in the district, all school operators have sent suggestions to CBSE. In the suggestions, internal examination of students and their annual performance is preferred. The opinion of most schools is unanimous. In such a situation, on the basis of the same, students of 10th can be promoted in 11th.
The district has more than 3 lakh students in 170 CBSE schools. 78 examination centers have been set up in the district for class 10th and 12th. At these centers, about 40 thousand students of class 10 and about 45 thousand students of class 12 give the exam. Due to Corona's havoc, CBSE has canceled 10 CBSE exams, while deferring further orders of class 12th. Now the students of 10th standard have to be promoted to get admission in 11th class. For this, CBSE has sought suggestions from all the principals of the district on which basis the students have been promoted.
District Coordinator Renu Singh said that suggestions have been sought from CBSE. We have suggested that students should be evaluated on the basis of their annual performance, internal examination and pre board. He said that most of the schools have given similar suggestions. A decision will be taken by CBSE soon.
